Advocate
Jacobus is an expert as well in transport and maritime law as in the law of marine and cargo insurance. A large part of his work comprises defense and recovery of cargo claims in and out of court.
From 1998 until 2001 Jacobus worked as a legal assisstant at the Institute of Maritime Law at the University of Hamburg. After two years as an associate with an international shipping law firm he founded the law firm BBL Rechtsanwaelte in 2003 which was reshaped into the maritime and transport law firm Jacobus Bracker in 2007.
Jacobus is constantly holding speeches on seminars on maritime and transport law and publishing articles. He is editor of the German law journal Transportrecht (TranspR) and co-publisher of the journal Internationales Handelsrecht (IHR).

Office Manager
Juliana is the office manager of the firm. She is in charge of accounting, diverse organisational matters and everything else.
